Detailed steps on how to create a custom database within a few mouse clicks using Streamer Cloud's control panel Database Wizard feature.
Create Custom Database with Streamer Cloud, creating your custom database is as comfortable as a few clicks of the mouse. One of the many unique features we offer our clients at Streamer Cloud is the ability to create a new MariaDB/MySQL database easily. With other website hosting providers, this can be a complicated and detailed experience. The following includes a step-by-step process outline that is both easy to follow and includes screenshots. After reviewing the next tutorial, you will be able to create a custom MariaDB/MySQL database and a database user with ease.
Step 1 | Find the MySQL Database Wizard
Log into your Streamer Cloud account and enter the website hosting control panel area. Scroll down and find the Databases area and click the 'Database Wizard" option.
Step 2 | Enter Database Name
Enter a unique database name. You may use underscores within the name. Once finished, click "Next Step."
Step 3 | Create a database user.
Enter a username that is unique (underscores may be used). Next, enter a strong database user password and re-enter the password for verification. When finished click the "Next Step." Additional Notes
- There will be a confirmation message at the top of the page confirming the successful creations of the database.
- You have the option of using the "password generator" to generate a secure password.
Step 4 | Database User Privileges
In most cases, select the radio button that is next to the "All Privileges." If you are running a database that will hold user personal information (social security numbers, banking information, or credit card numbers), you will need to select the appropriate privileges for this database user.
Step 5 | Successful Finish If the above steps were performed correctly, you would see a message similar to the one below stating "User was added to the database."
That's it. You have just successfully created your first custom database and database user. If at any time you find yourself in need of support, do not hesitate to send our Zealous Support team an email at [email protected]
